Tinea Capitis Pathophysiology

           Tinea Capitis is better known as Ringworm of the scalp, Ringworm of the hair or Scalp ringworm. This is a superficial fungal infection caused by 3 groups of fungus that commonly causes skin diseases in animals and humans. The disease is primarily caused by a mold like fungi called  dermatophytes in the Trichophyton and Microsporum genera.
